AI ABA software — agentic AI that drafts session notes, scrubs claims, and supports RBTs in-session. Pending human sign-off on every output.
Frequently asked questions
What is AI ABA software?
AI ABA software is software that uses machine learning or large language models to support Applied Behavior Analysis practice operations — drafting session notes, scrubbing claims, capturing intake, surfacing trends from case data, supporting RBTs in the field, and tracking supervision. Agentic AI (which Wilma ships) prepares the work proactively; "AI-assisted" software (which most competitors ship) is autocomplete on text a human is already writing.
What does "agentic AI" mean for ABA?
Agentic AI is AI that prepares work proactively — not just autocomplete on what you're writing. Wilma drafts session notes from real-time data, scrubs claims pre-submission, captures insurance at intake, surfaces case-data trends, supports RBTs in-session with the Behavior Intervention Plan, and flags documentation gaps. Every output operates within customer-defined rules and requires human approval before anything ships.
Is AI safe for clinical use?
Yes, when designed human-in-the-loop. Wilma never ships a clinical or billing output without explicit human approval. Every action is logged for audit. BCBAs retain all clinical judgment — Wilma surfaces signals (a trend, a gap, a BIP reference) but does not decide.
Does Wilma train AI models on my practice data?
No. Your client records, session notes, and billing data stay yours. Wilma does not train general-purpose models on your practice data.
Can AI replace BCBAs or RBTs?
No. Wilma absorbs documentation, scrubbing, and tracking overhead so BCBAs spend more time on clinical work and RBTs spend more time on client care. Clinical and billing decisions remain human.
How does AI session note drafting work?
Wilma ingests the real-time ABC data collected during a session — frequency counts, duration, mastery criteria, ABC narrative, protocol completion. It structures this into a note that references goals worked on, captures progress, and applies medical-necessity language appropriate to the CPT® code. The BCBA reviews, edits if needed, and signs.
How quickly does the AI adapt to my practice's style?
Meaningful adaptation typically shows within 30–60 sessions per BCBA. Edits made to drafts inform future drafts; the system tightens to your clinical voice and templates over time.
Is the AI an add-on or included?
AI is an optional add-on at +$20/user/month, layered on top of the Core plan ($30/user/month). When the AI add-on is on, all of it ships together: session note drafting, pre-submission claim scrubbing, denial prediction, field support, case-data trends, and the practice-data assistant — not a-la-carte mini-features. Core covers full practice management without AI; the AI add-on is where the agentic layer lives. (There is also a separate Phone add-on at +$10/user/month for the shared practice line and two-way SMS.)
Is AI ABA software HIPAA compliant?
Wilma is fully HIPAA compliant — end-to-end encryption (AES-256 at rest, TLS 1.2+ in transit), role-based access, full audit logging on every AI action, BAAs standard with every customer. Subcontractors that touch PHI operate under BAAs flowed down from Wilma.
Can I disable AI features for some users or workflows?
Yes. AI capabilities can be enabled per-team, per-user, or per-workflow. Some practices roll out AI session notes for BCBAs first and add billing scrubbing later.
